Programme Highlights
The Post Graduate Certificate in Management (Service Management) is specially designed for individuals wishing to pursue a career in booming Indian service sector. The programme provides basic understanding of contemporary approaches to acquiring, retaining and growing business with various stakeholders in the market in an efficient and effective manner. The programme would help participants in developing broad understanding of emerging operations frameworks and their relationships with other business functions to grow in the market and will also focus on 'cutting edge' issues concerning sales and marketing practices including brand, service, distribution channel management and people management issues. The programme faculty will focus on synergy between in-field practice and in-class learning
Objective of PGCM (Service Management)
Service sector in India has now reached a stage where it is the biggest contributor to India’s GDP going ahead of Agriculture sector and Manufacturing sector. This has resulted in increasing demand of Service minded professionals and it is further going to take off in a big way. India’s service sector is continuously growing in new and new areas and there is a renewed rush for service sector ventures by big players.
Greater Noida provides a strong platform to have collaborative institute-industry linkage as large number of Service sector and Manufacturing sector companies are operating in NCR as well as other parts of Western U.P. Moreover, companies like Reliance Energy, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys Technologies, Intel Corporation etc. have proposed to make heavy investments in Noida and adjoining areas of NCR which will make available a large number of employment opportunities.
Today the Indian Service Sector is in such a changing dynamic phase that it needs not just the professionals but people with the right knowledge and attitude. The Institute therefore, aims at empowering students with the most modern techniques and practices as seen and experienced around the globe. It incorporates highly interactive and innovative ways of teaching to bridge the gap between the theoretical aspects and the practical industry based knowledge. The seminars and workshops will be conducted to broaden the awareness level of our students. The Institute plans to develop strategic alliances with a number of service companies in India to provide project work and support so as to compete with and sustain in the global scenario.
New multifaceted knowledge will be imparted effectively and efficiently in the shortest possible timeframe in order to prepare students to face global pressures with a competitive edge. In addition to imparting knowledge of subjects, objective will also be to integrate the knowledge thus imparted with a balanced attention to core competence, productivity and pragmatism. A PGCM is about learning to work with people, because it is the people who run businesses. This will help the youth to become better citizens and will also throw open good employment opportunities to them.
