CSR – Parivartan Club : Celebrate Republic Day

As a CSR Initiative by I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad- “Parivartan – An Education program for underprivileged children” activity was organized in Sahibabad area, on January 26, 2024.

 

 

The volunteers were students of PGDM (2023-25 batch). Day’s focus was to celebrate “Republic Day” with the underprivileged children of Sahibabad area. The student volunteers included Aman Kumar Lath, Sourav Fuloria, Shivesh, Shivangi, Saloni & Anuj Kohli (2022-24 Batch).

Student volunteers spoke about the various freedom fighters to make the children familiar with them. They also conducted few memory games for the children. This was followed by a session of Fundamental Rights. Each of the volunteers explained the necessity and importance of the rights for the citizens of the country.

During the celebration a Cultural competition was organised in which interested kids participated. Children presented dance and patriotic poems. The best three performers were awarded with prizes.

The session ended with the distribution of sweets.

Cultural Club “Vibgyor” celebrated “Republic Day”

Celebration started with National Flag hoisting by Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey (Director- UG & IT), Dr. V.N. Bajpai (Director-Institute of Technology & Science) and Dr. Timira Shukla (Director- I.T.S School of Management). After that all dignitaries and students song the national anthem. The entire ground was full of the spirit of patriotism.

Dr. V.N. Bajpai during his address cited vaidik shlokas and said that having your own constitution is a big responsibility and we all should try to be responsible citizens.  

Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey in his address said that on the occasion of 75th Republic day we as Indians have made remarkable progress in all the fields at International level and we always should try to be progressive in life.

Dr. Timira Shukla also congratulated and conveyed her best wishes to all.

Following patriotic performances made the celebration more enthusiastic & entertaining;

1.      Poetry by Nitu and Kanak from PGDM (2023-25 Batch).

2.      Solo Singing by Shikhar from PGDM (2022-24 Batch)

3.      Poetry by Gyanesh from MBA (2022-24 Batch),

Ms. Neha and Mr. Utkarsh hosted the event. The celebration ended with sweets & snacks distribution.

Merit & Performance Improvement Award Ceremony for PGDM (2022-24) & (2023-25) Batch Students

I.T.S School of Management organized a  Merit and Performance Improvement award ceremony for PGDM (2022-24) & (2023-25) Batch Studentson25th January, 2024.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri. Surinder Sood, Director PR, I.T.S – The Education Group; Dr. Timira Shukla, Director – I.T.S School of Management; Dr. V. N. Bajpai, Director, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar; Dr. Sunil Kumar Pandey, Director, IT & UG Campus and Dr. Anusha Agarwal, PGDM Chairperson.

The ceremony was marked by the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony. Our respected  Shri. Surinder Sood, Director PR, I.T.S – The Education Group congratulated all the awardees and their parents for the brilliant academic achievement of their wards. He advised the students to nurture the spirit of continuous improvement, compassion, and zeal to learn in life.

In her welcome address Director –Prof. Timira Shukla. She congratulated the awardees and said that continuous learning is important in all walks of life for professional growth. Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Chairperson presented an overview of the categories of awards and motivated the students to put their best efforts in academics for a bright future. 

The students were presented with awards in two categories. These categories were:

1.         Merit Awards

2.         Performance Improvement Award

·         Top 10 Merit Holders ofPGDM (2022-24) Batch III Trimester

·         Top 10 Merit Holders of PGDM (2022-24) Batch IV Trimester

·         Top 10 improvements in PGDM(2022-24) Batch III Trimester over II Trimester

·         Top 10 improvements in PGDM2022-24) Batch IV Trimester over III Trimester

·         Top 10 Merit Holders of PGDM (2023-25) Batch I Trimester 

A total number of 55 students were awarded under above categories. All the awardees were appreciated with loud cheers by their batch mates. The event culminated with a Hi-Tea for Parents & Awardees.

Dr. Ritu presented research paper at 9th PAN World Management Conference 2024

Dr. Ritu Saxena, an Assistant Professor at I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad, actively engaged in the 9th PAN World Management Conference 2024, themed "Entrepreneurial Innovation and Digital Governance for inclusive and Sustainable Growth," held by IIM Sambalpur, India from January 22nd to 24th, 2024, in a Hybrid Mode.

At the conference, Dr. Saxena presented her research paper titled "Impact of University Social Media Marketing on Customer Engagement and Customer Response: Exploring the Mediating Role of University Brand Equity."

 The forthcoming abstract, slated for inclusion in the proceedings of the 9th PAN IIM World Management Conference, 2024, emphasizes the critical understanding of the dynamic interplay among university social media marketing, customer engagement, and response. This understanding is crucial for enhancing brand equity and crafting strategies to strengthen stakeholder connections, enhance reputation, recruitment endeavours, and overall institutional prosperity.

 Participating in this conference has offered Dr. Ritu Saxena a commendable learning experience, providing her with valuable insights into the evolving landscape of digital interconnectedness in our ever-changing global environment.

Workshop on “Omni Channel Marketing”

I.T.S School of Management organized workshop on the topic “Omni Channel Marketing” on January 23, 2024 for the PGDM (2023-25) Batch.

Prof. Namita Rajput, Professor, Department of Commerce, University of Delhi was the resource person for the workshop.

The Workshop aimed to cultivate a creative and innovative mindset in participants. The workshop introduced students to Omni Channel marketing concepts and practices.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a focus on the importance of workshop. Dr. Timira Shukla, Director, I.T.S School of Management welcomed the guest with the plant sapling.

The workshop covered key topics viz. concept of Omni Channel, Key elements of Omni Channel, Cross Channel Communication, Unified Customers Profile, Technology and related areas.

The participants acquired hands-on experience with marketing methodologies. The culmination of the workshop saw student teams developing prototypes that addressed real-world problems, showcasing their ability to translate challenges into user-centric solutions.

Overall, the workshop successfully equipped students with the tools and mindset necessary for creative problem-solving, aligning with the institute’s commitment to fostering well-rounded and innovative professionals.

Webinar on Designing a Holistic Employee Wellbeing Program

Dr. Ritu Saxena, Faculty at I.T.S School of Management, along with PGDM V Trimester (2022-24) Batch HR Specialization students, actively engaged in a webinar centered around "Designing a Holistic Employee Wellbeing Program," which was organized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)On January 23, 2024. 

The distinguished panel of speakers included Nishith Upadhyaya, Executive Director Advisory - India, APAC & MENA, SHRM; R Chandrasekaran, Former Chairman, Nasscom; Nathan SV, Partner, Deloitte; and Nav Vij, Chief Digital Neuroscientist at Neurowyzr.

Mr. Updhyay initiated the session by providing valuable insights into the definition of holistic employee wellbeing and the identification of its key components. The meticulously crafted agenda focused on recognizing the limitations of traditional Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) while exploring the evolving landscape of comprehensive wellbeing initiatives.

A highlight of the event was a discussion on the benefits of adopting a holistic approach to employee wellbeing, emphasizing its positive impact on both individuals and organizations. Attendees gained valuable insights into leveraging neuroplasticity techniques for achieving peak brain performance and recognizing the crucial role of mental health in overall wellbeing.

 The event also underscored the importance of implementing neuroscience principles to enhance organizational productivity. The holistic perspective presented aimed to inspire HR professionals to redefine their strategies, fostering a workplace environment that prioritizes the overall health and performance of employees.

Corporate Talk on Changing Role of HR

I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad organized a corporate talk for the benefit of the PGDM I Year students (Batch 2023-25) on January 19, 2024.  Mr.Bhupendra Kaushal, Zydus HR (Manufacturing Head) was the ‘Guest Speaker’ for the day.  Director, Dr. Timira Shukla  welcomed  the speaker.
 

Mr.Kaushal is a well acknowledged motivational speaker, in his address on  ‘Changing Role of HR’ . He emphasized that today Human Resources, department doesn’t merely perform administrative functions, instead now it’s a strategic division which binds in the overall growth strategy of business. Jacob Morgan, Author of Employee Experience, clearly expresses, “what was viewed by many as one of the least exciting areas of an organization is now one of the most dynamic places to work.”

Conventionally, human resources are thought to be a department where employees go to get hired or fired. In the past few years, it has changed. Now employees go to human resources with feedback, suggestions, career advice, and to learn how to become a better worker. Senior HR professionals take a seat among other C-level executives to define talent strategy that complements business strategy and aids growth. At the end of the session Prof. Yachna Malhotra gave token of gratitude to Dr Bhupendra kaushal Sir.

The entire session was quite captivating and full of learning for the budding managers.

Marrecus -The Marketing Club organized "MIX MAESTRO"

Marrecus - The Marketing Club at I.T.S-School of Management, in its continued legacy organised its much-awaited event   "MIX MAESTRO"  on Thursday 18th  January 2024, The event was unique of its kind to witness the participation of a large number of teams from the PGDM (2023-25) batch.

 

MIX MAESTRO focused on the marketing viz as 4 Ps of marketing i.e, Product, Price, Place & Promotion. And for that an open market named as ITS PLAZA was created, in which participants showcased the 4 P's along with their pitching skill of a particular product given by Marrecus Team to the team. Also, there were competitors of products in the market as well thus the participants had to pitch their product in front of the customers to the event judges Prof Ashutosh Sharma and Prof Durba Roy.  

Following teams bagged the top 3 positions:

Certificates of participation were awarded to all the participating teams.
