PGDM students participated and won the prize in the fest “Scintilla2022”

I.T.S School Of Management has always motivated its students to participate in various inter college activities. To take this ideology forward various students from PGDM 21-23 batch participated in the fest “Scintilla2022” organized by Jaipuria Institute of Business on 12 March, 2022.

Total 18 students participated in 3 events: -

·         2 teams ( Team 1 comprising of Shivangi, Suhani, Arpan, Akanksha and Nandini  and Team 2 comprising of Shobhit , Kunal, Prashant,Tarushi and Utkarsh) from the institute participated in Ad Mad show.

·         1 team of 8 members namely, Kunal, Prashant, Ankit, Akash, Animesh, Divyanshi, Priyanshi and Deepika showed great enthusiasm in NukkadNatak.

·         1 participant (Neetu Chaudhry) participated in Solo dance.

All these events helped the students to gain confidence and reduce stage fear. It was a great learning experience for all.

Out of 2 teams in Ad Mad show, one team secured 2nd position.

Shobhit , Kunal, Prashant,Tarushi and Utkarsh  from PGDM 21-23 were the members of winning team.

All the members of winning team were rewarded with certificates and trophies along with the cash prize .

Participation certificates were given to all the other participants.

Dr. Rajeev Johari delivered session on “Creation the Space of Entrepreneurship”

Dr. Rajeev Johri delivered session on Creation the space of Entrepreneurship on 9th March 2022 at Trinity Institute of Professional Studies-TIPS, Dwarka, Delhi affiliated with G.G.S.I.P. University, Delhi. 

 

The purpose of the session was to acquaint participants on how to explore an idea and convert it into successful implementation. The session was attended by students of undergraduate final year of B.Com and B.B.A. The session was very interactive with orientation on new thoughts and tips for making a successful journey for Entrepreneurs. The basic issue of the session of idea generation was how to tackle business plan, financial model and breakeven analysis. Different points were discussed with latest examples of existing products and services of startups and young innovators in different sectors of entrepreneurship. Vibrant students and faculty members raised intelligent queries during the session and also after the session.

PGDM (2021-23) Batch participants attended virtual Session on 'Women & Digital Economy: Atmanirbhar Nari, Atmanirbhar Bharat’

PGDM (2021-23) Batch participants of I.T.S School of management namely Rupali, Manvi, Sonali, Amrita, Rima, Sonal, Komal, Sneha, Anubhi and Niharika attended FICCI's International Women's Day Programme titled "Women & Digital Economy: Atmanirbhar Nari, Atmanirbhar Bharat" organized byFICCI Young Leaders Forum, jointly with Amazon Indiaon March 9, 2022.

The event aimed to increase the awareness around equitable access to e-commerce for women entrepreneurs and barriers that hamper their participation in national and global trade. Mr Shashwat Goenka, Chair, FICCI Young Leaders Forum & Sector Head - Retail & FMCG, RP - Sanjiv Goenka Group, delivered the welcome address.

Addressing the virtual session, Ms Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Women & Child Development, Government of India said that female founders of a company get 35 per cent fewer opportunities to get funding than male cofounders. Ms Irani stated that out of the four and a half lakh jobs that have prospered in the country only on the basis of information technology, 50 per cent are women.

Speaking in a conversation with Mr Neeraj Singh, Chair, FICCI Young Leaders Forum, Uttar Pradesh, on the opportunities as a result of the amalgamation of technology and marketplaces, Ms Irani said that COVID-19 had taught us that technology has been well received and is productively engaged with on a day-to-day basis in the rural landscape. Ms Irani further stated that nearly 55 per cent or about 23 crore - out of 44 crore bank accounts - were women-owned. She said that India recorded transactions worth Rs 21 lakh crores into the citizens' bank accounts through the DBT scheme. "Imagine the purchasing power that you have enhanced in the country by just this one transfer," she said. 

Manish Tiwary, Country Manager, India Consumer Business, Amazon India, said, "This year's International Women's Day theme 'break the bias' asks us all to take action and create a level playing field for women. It is inspiring to see how women entrepreneurs across India are leveraging digitisation, and e-commerce, in particular, to create products customers love and build scalable businesses that have a meaningful impact on society. We are honoured to be a catalyst in their journey and constantly strive to help them leverage e-commerce to create and accelerate their businesses online and transform their livelihoods."  

Mr Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary, I&PR, MSME Department and Khaadi Gram Udyog, Government of Uttar Pradesh, stated that ensuring a sense of security and comfort for women to go out and work anytime is a priority for the government. He highlighted other steps that the government of Uttar Pradesh has taken to strengthen women's entrepreneurship. These included handing over mid-day meals to women SHGs; 58,000 women working as banking correspondent Sakhi, and handover of ration shops to women SHGs in villages. Mr Sehgal also stated that the women entrepreneurs under the UP's ODOP programme had been connected to online eCommerce platforms like Amazon, eBay and Flipkart.

Overall it was a very stimulating and motivating session for all the participants.

Webinar on LOGISTICS SECTOR-INDUSTRY TRENDS organized by ASSOCHAM

PGDM (2021-23) batch participants Of I.T.S School Of Management of marketing and operations discipline namely, Priyanshu, Animesh, Priyanshi, Aryan, Sneha, Manvi, Muskan, Shobhit, Vaibhav And Abhijeet attended the webinar on “LOGISTICS SECTOR-INDUSTRY TRENDS” organized by ASSOCHAM Maharashtra State Development Council (MSDC) and MIT ADT university on 16th February, 2022. 

The eminent speakers for the webinar were, Mr. Tushar Jani, Group Chairman of Cargo Service Center (CSC)Group, SCA Group of Companies; Dr. Mangesh T. Karad, Executive President and Vice Chancellor, MIT ADT University and Vice Chair –ASSOCHAM Council on Education (Maharastra), Mr. Shantanu Bhadkamkar, Managing Director, ATC Group and Chairman, Rotomatic Containers Private Limited and Capt. Shrirang S Gokhale,  Nautical Faculty, Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies.

 

The speakers talked about current logistics trends being followed by top companies. They quoted about how zomato servicing earlier used to provide tiffin services but after changing the logistics program, it upgraded to online platform and online food delivery services. Capt. Shrirang talked about the logistics giant, amazon packaging systems and how they use lots of cartons and recyclable plastic bins for packaging. They also use highly protected, eco-friendly packaging material. In the coming time, delivery companies like amazon will use flexible, creative and gorilla-based techniques.

Overall, the session was very insightful and thoughtful.

Management faculty members attended five days FDP Program on “BASICS OF ZOTERO AND MENDELEY: A LITERATURE SURVEY TOOL”

Dr. Anusha Agarwal, Dr. Vivek Pachauri, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Prof. Yachna Malhotra, Prof. Ritika Rathore, Prof. Shikha Aggarwal and Prof. Smita Barik, faculty members  of Management Department, attended 5- days FDP on “BASICS OF ZOTERO AND MENDELEY: A LITERATURE SURVEY TOOL” conducted by Mangalmay Institute of Management & Technology, Greater Noida during February 12 - 16, 2022.

 

The resource person for the FDP were Dr. Anshu Tyagi, Associate Professor, Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies and Prof. Abha Gupta, Assistant Professor, Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies. Dr. Anshu Tyagi explained about Zotero which is an open- source software which allows easy and quick collection, organization and sharing of research. It is very convenient to use the software as it is open source and available for free to use. Zotero software assists in organizing and managing bibliographical data and research related material. Hands-on practice session was also facilitated by the resource person for the software.

Prof. Abha Gupta enlightened about Mendeley software which is also an open-source referencing software freely available for use of researchers, scholars, students and teachers. You can efficiently add papers for your work in the software. It is available to use by signing in your account on the website, as well as through as desktop application. Bothe the spaces are synced for easy and comfortable access. Mendeley has a provision to attach as a toolbar option with MS- word document as Mendeley cite-O-matic is extremely useful for generating bibliographies, references and citation in different kinds of styles such as Harvard, Chicago and APA. Hands-on practice session was also facilitated by the resource person for the software.

SHRM Exclusive Session: Ace your Talent Management Strategy

The session had industry experts and senior practitioners who discussed critical questions about talent management focusing on the relevance and significance of Employer Branding, Gauging the True Pulse of Employees and Ensuring Meaningful Work for Employees in the background of the post pandemic workplace.

Session started with welcome address delivered by Ms. Nitya VijaykumarSr. Knowledge Advisor, SHRM India. Experts on board were Pramod Joshi, CHRO,A2Z Group; Rajesh Rai, VP People Management and HR Head, Global Logic; Mohini Pal Chowdhury, HR Head, Quantiphi; Sahil Naya, Sr. Associate Director, KPMG and Unnati Sodha, Partner & Channels Business Lead, AP Success Factors. Experts deliberated on the struggle of the organizations today to improve productivity as the world of work becomes more complicated and confusing than ever and employees have been worrying about managing stress and maintaining well-being.

They shared their experience and views on how the organizations are relooking at their talent management strategy to have an engaged and productive workforce.

The Q & A session was moderated by Ms. Nitya Vijaykumar, Sr. Knowledge Advisor SHRM Indiaand it was quite interactive as participants asked many relevant questions and experts answered them to their satisfaction. Overall, it was a very insightful and thoughtful session.

Then he discussed about Exponential Growth of Renewable Power, Solar PV Module, types of modules, Mono PERC Solar Panel Solutions, Bifacial Solar Module, PV System Components then he discussed about failures of Photovoltaic Modules  and Typical failures found during IEC 61215,61646 visual inspection, system monitoring, Solar PV Operations &Maintenance Business Model-Building Blocks, PV Module Tech Bankability Ratings Pyramid in February 2022.

Mr. K Sridhar explained about Lead Batteries and its usage in Renewable Energy, Solar Panels in Car Parking in Cochin Airport, Floating Solar Panels in Vizag (Smart City), Renewed Boost, Mix within renewable Power and power growth estimate. He also discussedGlobally Lead consumption share, India’s Production & End Uses of Lead, Secondary Lead Share with LEAD (Long Experience, Easily Available, Affordable, Disposable). 

Mr. Praveen Kumar Sood further discussed about Carbon Emissions per capita by Country, Decentralized DC Micro/ Mini Grids Powered by Solar /Wind Hybrid Systems with Advanced Lead Acid Maintenance Free Energy Storage to solve Rural Electricity Problem, Vertical axis wind turbine, heat pump etc.

The session was quite interactive as participants asked many relevant questions and our guests answered them to their satisfaction. Virtual Session on “Cash flow Crisis Management for MSME”

19 participants (Finance Specialization) from PGDM 21-23 batch of ITS School of Management, namely, Tushar, Sourabh Kumar, Amit, Bhavya, Anubhav, Vanshika, Sandhya, Saurabh, Nainshi, Arpan, Manisha, Anish, Hemendra, Divya, Naitik, Sakshi, Vipul, Vidhu and Shruti along with Finance Faculty, Dr. Anusha Aggarwal participated in Virtual Session on "Cash Flow Crisis Management for MSME" on Thursday, 10th Feb at 04:00 PM.

 

 

Mr. K. K. Gupta, Director, Resurgent India Ltd. welcomed the guests. He talked about the importance of cash management in the businesses and practical aspect of cash flow. He also discussed about the Role of MSME and strategies and method to be adopted by them to overcome such unprecedented situations.

Mr. Tilak Raj Chawla , Ex-executive director Allahabad Bank,  shared his views on Adequate Cash that has to be there. He debated how existing capacities being escalated to much higher levels also creates problem. He stressed on provision of cash-budget method for lending.

CA Amit Sahai Mathur, Co-founder & CEO Fouraxes business solutions Pvt. Ltd.), stated that with constant cash outflow happening, there were no inflows as no business transactions were happening at the time of covid. In the 2nd lockdown no incentives were given by the government. The challenge was how to fund the business growth.

CA Manish Gadia, Partner, JMP associates) stated that this is the time to provide due care towards cash besides profit. He also stressed on giving importance to operating cash flow is imperative at this time. He mentioned to cut down expenses or do better planning to give proper time for receivables management. He advised to defer the purchase or restructure financing activities and go for personal level funding or raise money from banks for investing activities.

Mr. D.S. Rajput concluded that to be in the business, survival is more important. Costs should be cut down and guarantee for the project is provided by insurance companies but in India, this right is exclusively with the banks. So, in the coming time insurance companies are also going to come with new projects and it’s going to help businesses.

The session ended with the Vote of Thanks by Mr.K.K. Gupta. He extended his gratitude to all the eminent speakers as well as to the audience.
